People are being urged to avoid using disposal barbeques – and dispose of their litter properly – during the hot weather the Island is currently experiencing.
Thirty firefighters spent more than six hours putting out a 1KM blaze on Greeba Mountain at the weekend - the Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service says it was one of a number of fires it has attended due to ‘carelessness and dry vegetation’.
