How the Great North Air Ambulance serves the Isle of Man

Over the past year the Great North Air Ambulance Service has been called out to the Isle of Man 16 times to help transfer patients to major trauma centres.

The Island is now in the charity's remit after being tasked by Manx Care - a recommendation of the Sir Jonathan Michael Report in 2019, which looked at transforming the Isle of Man's healthcare offering.

David Stockton, GNAAS CEO spoke to Manx Radio's Lewis Foster about how the past twelve months have gone, and whether or not the charity can afford to keep flying to the Isle of Man in the future.
