He has passed the baton to musician friend and trad music fan John Barker, who is already doing a sterling job of making the show his own. Pop trad group Mec Lir are Manxies Tomas Callister, Adam Rhodes and Dave Kilgallon with Greg Barry from Scotland on drums. Together, they make 'a magical cocktail of beat-up trad music that will make you DANCE.' This week, they released their debut full length album 'Livewire' - which went straight to the top of the iTunes World Chart. Christy caught up with them a few days before the release and, bearing in mind their EP was released back in 2014, her first question had to be: why did it take them so long to get the album out?
