Previous winner of the Great British Bake Off, Candice Brown, is on a mission to help revive the high street. Having recently embarked on a huge project herself, reviving her local community pub with her brother, she’s seen the benefits first hand of how putting a little effort in can bring big returns. She’s now working alongside Nationwide, who have commissioned a survey of 2,000 Brits to find out what’s keeping them out of town and what might make them hightail it back to the high street. Christy DeHaven caught up with Candice and also Mandy Beech, Director of Branches from Nationwide, who started by telling her what their research showed.
