It's feared the Commonwealth Games could be cancelled for the first time since the Second World War after Australia's Gold Coast dropped its bid to host the 2026 event.
The international sporting event sees athletes from the Isle of Man, sporting Manx colours, compete side-by-side against representatives of countries from across the Commonwealth of Nations.
No doubt a fantastic opportunity and something Manx competitors keep in their mind when training, so what would it mean if, as is feared, we lose the games for good?
