Last week, Douglas South MHK Claire Christian resigned from her position within the Department of Education, Sport and Culture citing concern over policy direction and funding decisions made by those 'outside of the department'.
She says recent events - including the criticism levelled at former minister Julie Edge, and the department, over the situation with the Southern Pool and the perceived interference by other senior ministers - led her to make the 'difficult decision'.
In this interview with Manx Radio's Lewis Foster, Mrs Christian elaborates on those claims re 'interference from senior ministers', explains why she thinks Julie Edge's sacking was 'unfair', and answers the question being put to a number of MHKs currently: "would you support a vote of no confidence?".
