Looking at the ceremony of Tynwald Day, an office was created of Yn Lhaihder, meaning The Reader to promulgate (read aloud) the laws in Manx from Tynwald Hill. This was in the early twentieth century, from 1910 onwards. The programme traces the changes that have taken place since then. Our story in Manx is based on the idea of the famous Sword in the Stone - in this case, it's a talking one.
