John Young and Lorcan O’Mahony are our guests today and they’ve kindly joined us right before they raise the curtain on their original show, ‘The Funny Thing About Depression’ at the South Douglas Old Friends Association. John you’ll remember wrote and directed ‘For the Fallen’ last Autumn which commemorated the Isle of Man’s experience of the First World War which following a successful run at Ballakermeen Studio Theatre, was adapted for radio - something which you can still stream or download on the Manx Radio website. Lorcan is well known as a performer on the Island and in the last few years has shared his experiences of living with depression through his blog and through the Headlands Talking Circles.
