Beth was back from holiday so we had a fun packed show today!
We celebrated with a wonderful Soul Starter from Aretha Franklin, 'Freeway of Love' from 1985 (can you believe it's an entire year since the Queen of Soul left us?! but what fantastic music she left us with!)
We had a music quiz, as Christy teased us with a clip from a 1962 single and asking how many of you recognised the voice - which ended up being a 12 year old Little Stevie Wonder singing 'I Call It Pretty Music'
Our jukebox celebrated the birthday of the one and only Madonna - 61 today! - so as we have also been talking Staycations this week we gave you the choice between 'Holiday' from 1984 and 'Papa Don't Preach' (the latter starting it's 2 week run at the top of the chart on this day in 1985)
