On the programme today, Christy and Jenny were joined by Pippa Lovell from pop up restaurant Versa at Foraging Vintners in Port Erin. It's a restaurant with a difference, as Pippa forages the majority of the ingredients on the plate from within walking distance of the venue - a practice she hopes to encourage other local businesses to take on too.
There will be a podcast available to download shortly, in which Pippa takes Christy out on a foraging expedition, introducing her to everything from simple garnish, to spaghetti from the sea and giving excellent advice and tips along the way. Keep checking our social media and podcast pages for the link.
In the meantime, you can find Versa on Instagram @VersaIOM
While with us, Pippa also inspected the plate of food Jenny and Christy had foraged - all from within a few miles of where they live (or, in Christy's case, where she works, as everything was found around Manx Radio and Douglas Head).
Also today, we were joined again by Mark Hepworth from Abbey Dental, who came to tell us about the fascinating world of extractions - why we need them, how to look after your mouth after having them, how to avoid them and much more. He even brought a demonstration kit in with him and enlisted the help of 'temporary nurse' Pippa Lovell who showed some skills in actually pulling a (fake) tooth from a (fake) gum - watch the video below - if you dare!
If you have any questions about tooth extractions, or anything dental related! you can call the team on 823040 or find their website here, or on Facebook too.
Our Soul Starter today was a classic from the Commodores - 'Lady (You Bring Me Up)' and the Jukebox was a fight between retro hit by Snap 'You Got the Power' (released on this day in 1992) and Birthday Boy Shawn Mendes' first single 'Stitches' from 2016. Retro won again!
You can listen back to the full programme at this link for the next 7 days. Tomorrow, we are live from the Royal Show from 2pm, hope you can join us!
