On Air Manx Radio Breakfast Ben Hartley | 6:00am - 9:00am

Late Lunch listen again: Phil Gawne

We were joined in the studio today by Moghrey Jedoonee presenter Phil Gawne*, who challenged us at the weekend to learn a Breton dance. He stopped in to show us how it's done - and you can see the (rather embarrassing) video on our social media channels below (*Clarky was otherwise engaged...frightened off by the prospect of dancing on camera perhaps!)

Our Soul Starter was a superb number from the Crystals, 1963 hit 'Then He Kissed Me' as singer Darlene Love (the controversially unnamed vocalist on many of the Crystals hits) celebrates her birthday today;

Beth had another cartoon theme challenge for us, as we sang along with the Thundercats;

Ben popped in for another Watch of the Week - recommending the Voice Kids Final, continuing Poldark final series, Charles and Diana engagement special and anniversary of the last Top of the Pops programme.

It's the day for Rock n Roll birthdays in fact, as we also celebrated Roger Taylor from Queen's birthday and Bobby Hebb, who had a hit with the beautiful 'Sunny' in 1941.

And we celebrated Mick Jagger's 76th birthday with the Jukebox - the Retro Choice being Jagger with David Bowie and 'Dancing in the Street' and the Recent was Maroon 5's Moves Like Jagger. The Retro won hands (and feet!) down - and you can avoid watching Beth and Christy dancing by instead choosing to watch the hilarious Silent Music Video that we talked about on the show below...

If you missed the programme, you can listen again at this link for the next 7 days.
