MGP legends commemorated in Centenary Parade Lap

Racers get into period gear for honorary event

Some of the most successful riders in Manx Grand Prix history have been represented in a special lap of the Mountain Course.

The 'Made at the Manx' Parade Lap involves legends from the past who started their successful biking careers in the Isle of Man.

It's being put on especially to celebrate the event's centenary this year. 

Charlie Williams is one of the racers taking part, he bagged himself 9 wins and 21 podiums during his time competing in the Manx Grand Prix and TT Races:

Mick Grant - who won the  Senior MGP in 1980 - was back and riding the actual machine - RT500- he won on:

Yorkshire rider Nick Jefferies won the Senior MGP in 1983.

Riding one of the first Kamashed models - almost 100-years-old- he dedicated his lap to Freddie Frith OBE:

Graham Reed was representing his dad Phil Read on his RG500 Two Stroke:

Northern Irishman Brian Reid did the parade on the bike he won on in 1992.
