Wilson leads Senior Times

Perfect conditions around the Mountain Course helped produce the fastest laps of Manx Grand Prix practice week on Tuesday.

Quickest was Scott Wilson at 117.618mph to top the Seniors.

Other class leaders on the night were Ryan Kneen in the Juniors at 117.363mph, Dan Sayle in the Lightweight at 114.097mph, Joe Phillips in the Ultra Lightweight at 107.649mph, Sean Murphy in the Newcomers "A" at 116.436mph, Andy Lawson in Newcomers "B" at 106.339mph, Oliver Linsdell in the Senior Classic at 106.339mph, Chris McGahan in the Junior Classic at 98.842mph, David Smith in the Lightweight Classic at 91.750mph, Roy Richardson in the Post Classic (2-stroke) at 111.480mph and Frank James in the Post Classic (4-stroke) at 98.265mph.

There were six incidents reported during this session - Simon Perkin came off at the 27th Milestone and Brian Spooner was off at the Verandah - both riders were taken by helicopter to Nobles Hospital.

Other reports involved Glyn Jones at Mayhill, Pete Symes at Braddan Oak and Yvonne Montgomery at Sarah’s Cottage - all are said to be OK.

Finally, marshal Hugh Evans was seen by the Doctor at the 27th and again was found to be OK.

The next practice session is scheduled for this evening with roads closing at 6 o'clock.....weather permitting.
