Ramsey A win women's thriller
The big teams in the PwC Men’s Premier Division all won on Saturday.
Champions Bacchas A gave Vikings B a 12-0 thumping to stay out in front.
Andy Whiting netted five in the rout with the other strikes from Jamie Callow (two) Josh Riordan (penalty flick) Jamie Brown (two) and Karl Moore (two).
An Alex Birch hat-trick inspired nearest rivals Vikings A to a 4-0 success over Bacchas B.
Neil Crowe scored the other with a penalty flick.
After losing the opening match of the season to Ramsey A, Valkyrs A avenged that defeat to the northerners.
A 5-2 victory, courtesy of goals from Steve Cottier, Greg Miller (two), Ciaran Gell and Luis Novo-Smith, moved them back into third place.
With champions Vikings A not in action in the PwC Women’s Premier Division, Ramsey A gained a fine result with a 3-2 triumph over Bacchas A.
Bacchas fought back from 2-0 down to draw level through Helen Thomas and Sophie Hudson strikes before the northerners grabbed a winner.
Lois Hatton, Dani Kelly and Sinead Stephens scored the goals as Castletown A defeated Harlequins A 3-1.
Ali Hurd grabbed the consolation for spirited Quins.
