Rider will compete at TT after all
Dominic Herbertson has been snapped up by a new team days after launching a Go Fund Me Page.
The 34-year-old has been signed by Melbray Racing who will make their debut at this year’s Isle of Man TT Races.
'Dom The Bomb' had been due to compete for WTF Racing alongside James Hillier, however, the outfit announced on 1 April they would not be competing at the event this year.
This left both drivers without a seat with less than two months before the start of the TT, as the 34-year-old even set up Go Fund Me Page to make the races.
However, Herbertson will now ride a Paton S1R in the two Metzeler/Entire Cover Supertwin races.
The rider said: "I’m really looking forward to riding for Melbray Racing in the two Supertwin races at this year’s TT.
They’re a small team, but a great bunch of people, and I’m hoping to have the same results or better in this class than I had at last year's TT.”
Melbray Racing’s Team Owner Simon Warren added: “We’re super excited to have our team coming to the TT this year and having such a great talent as Dominic Herbertson riding our bike makes it even more special."
