Trials: Adshead takes first World Trial2 win

Manx star moves into top three of world championship

Manx trials star Kaytlyn Adshead claimed her first ever world Trial2 victory during international competition at the weekend.

The 17-year-old represented Team Station Garage as she took part in the FIM Trial2 World Championship rounds three and four in Ponti Di Legno, in Italy from 16-18 September.

She started strong on the first day and found herself in joint-first place with Theresa Bauml.

However, a rear puncture ended Kaytlyn's challenge and she went on to finish fourth overall.

Meanwhile, day two say Adshead respond emphatically with a first lap of seven marks followed by six marks on the second lap to take victory.

The two results move her up into third position in the world championship standings.

This coming weekend (24-25 September), Kaytlyn will become the first Manx girl to represent Great Britain and the ACU at the Trial Des Nations in Monza, Italy.
