Tinker Cup finalists decided

The Standard Bank Tinker Cup Final will pit holders Peel and St John's against Cronkbourne.

In Saturday’s semi-finals, the Saints made 201 against Crosby after being 36 for 4.

Chris Hawke struck 49, Akkie van den Berg 30 and Nick Hawke 27.

Joe Rothwell took 3 for 24 and Stu Morris 2 for 38.

Crosby’s hopes were then blown away by Greg Hawke.

He returned 5 for 22 as the Marown team were dismissed for 67 with Dave Picken top scoring on 24.

A good batting performance saw Valkyres make 159 for 7 at Tromode.

Auri Ghausi cracked a lively 49 and Chris Langford 30.

Cronkbourne were struggling at 67 for 4 after 17 overs, but a great unbroken stand by Rowan Bird and Sam Mills took them to victory.

At the end Rowan was 59 not out and Sam 24 not out.
