Isle of Man faced tough matches in rounds five to seven
There were some good individual displays from the Island's table tennis players despite some tough results in the latest rounds of the British League.
Sean Drewry, Duncan Alexander, Glenn Callow and William Dalugdugan represented the Isle of Man in rounds five to seven of the series at Halton Regional TT Centre last weekend (10-11 December).
In a challenging two days, the Isle of Man suffered back-to-back 7-2 losses to Colin Deaton TTA 2 and Colin Deaton TTA 1 in their first two matches.
The standout during those was Drewry who did manage to gain three victories across both contests.
Games three and four on the Sunday were equally tough with the Isle of Man going down 7-2 against Blitz TTC before being beaten 6-3 by Halton TTC 3.
But again, there were good aspects for the Island squad despite the losses, with Drewry picking up three more wins during the day and Duncan Alexander also picking up two wins.
The Isle of Man team will next be involved in the British Leagues for rounds nine and ten on 14-15 January, 2023 at the Halton Reigonal TT Centre.
