Among those going to the polls today (Thursday) will be the Island's 16 and 17-year-olds.
The Isle of Man became the first country in Europe to lower the voting age to 16 at the last election in 2006.
Five years ago, just over 700 registered to vote - this time the figure has almost doubled.
These Year 13 pupils at St Ninian's High School (pictured) are looking forward to voting, and one pupil has already decided he wants to stand himself in 2016:
