Sir Mark Cavendish becomes Aston Martin global ambassador

Motoring company announces partnership with 'Manx Missile'

Sir Mark Cavendish has teamed up motoring giant Aston Martin to become the company's first-ever global high-performance ambassador.

Announcing the news, Aston Martin says the 'Manx Missile's' role will be to 'expand Aston Martin's presence in top-level international sports' and 'building on our high-performance culture'.

Furthermore, the organisation adds Cavendish himself will bring 'a fiercely determined spirit that matches our own. The ceaseless pursuit of excellence.'

Separately last week, Sir Mark received his knighthood from the HRH Prince of Wales at Windsor Castle having been recognised in the King's Birthday Honours List in 2024.

The Island-born rider has been made a Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (KBE) for 'his outstanding contribution to the sport of cycling, his on-Island and off-Island charity work and as a sporting ambassador for the United Kingdom and the Isle of Man.'
