SHOOTING: Corkill & Moore master the wind

Multiple ties for places as competition gets tighter

The second round of the Utopia Hair Salon Winter Series English Skeet league was held at Meary Veg Santon in extremely windy but dry conditions.

The leader after the first round was Jeff Corkill on 23 closely followed by Paul Mihailovits on 22. John Moore, Roman Sammer, Irene Stockil and junior Zac Bellhouse all tied for third place with 20 points .

After a short break with the wind picking up, the second round got under way. 

Finishing third in C class was Ted Kermeen with 33 points and there was a tie for first place with Irene Stockil and Brian Kelly both scoring 35. 

Mark Hepworth came in third in B class with 37 points with Peter Kelly taking second place on 39 and winning B class with 40 points was junior Zac Bellhouse. 

Paul Mihailovits finished third in A class on 42 points and there was yet another tie for first place between Jeff Corkill and John Moore on 43 points.
