Rugby: Douglas looking for fourth straight home win

Manx side have chance to move up in the table

Fixtures (30-11-24)

Regional 2 North West

- Douglas vs Crewe & Nantwich @ Port-e-Chee (1.15pm KO)

Report by Dave Christian:

Douglas will host Crewe and Nantwich in Regional 2 North West on Saturday (30 November) looking for a fourth consecutive home win.

Their guests however have lost their last three matches on the bounce and, while have a similar playing record to Douglas, the Manx side are clear of them in the standings by virtue of bonus points.

The home side will remain without a couple of their 'big hitters'.

Prop Si Hodinnott and strike runner Sam McCord both look likely to miss out with injury as will Percy Hampton who hasn’t yet recovered from a shoulder injury a couple of weeks ago.

Good news however is that Liam Kirkpatrick looks like he has recovered from a dead leg and he could return to boost the back row.

Outside the pack Douglas’ 'little general' Bryn Snellgrove looks set to pull on the 10 jersey and he has plenty of fire power outside him.

Douglas will look to take maximum points from this game and perhaps just sneak up a place in the standings depending on other results.
