Douglas beaten by Bowden
Even with home advantage Douglas were unable to deny title chasing Bowdon maximum points in Regional 2 North West; the Manchester side running out 28-15 winners at Port-e-Chee.
Paceman Kyle Martin crossed for Douglas, as did hooker Gihard Visagie, with scrum half Nathan Robson converting one and adding a penalty.
A win for Altrincham Kersal leaves Douglas in seventh place with just three games remaining.
Nomads win at Vikings
In the Manx Shield Southern Nomads came out 52-15 winners at QE2 School.
Craig Martin nipped in for the opening try to give Vikings an early lead.
Nomads hit back with scores from Will Taisia and Si Chadwick plus a Mark Young conversion.
Morgan Armstrong-Paton hit back for Vikings and after 20 minutes the game was nip and tuck with Nomads leading 12-0.
Nomads bagged two more through Tony Quinn and Max Elwig both converted by Young and gave themselves a 26-10 half time lead.
Nomads crammed in four more scores after the break to put the result beyond doubt.
Messrs Elwig and Quinn both went in for their second tries with Ste McHugh and Dick Seed adding the other two.
Craig Martin went in for a Vikings consolation score close to the final whistle.
Ramsey beat Douglas Casuals in friendly
A strong looking Douglas Casuals side were beaten 19-5 at Port-e-Chee by Ramsey who avenged an earlier defeat at the Mooragh Park.
Brandon Atchison went in twice for Ramsey with youngster Ffinlo Corkill also scoring his first senior try in just his third game.
Tom Moffatt converted two out of three
