There have been calls for the Rhodes men's football team to be sent home from the Nat West Island Games.
In last night's match between their team and Jersey two of their players were sent off, one for spitting in the face of a Jersey player.
There were also clashes between players, with officials and the crowd.
The President of the Jersey football Association Ricky Weir and the organiser of the football competition on the Isle of Wight, Ken Morris, have called for Rhodes to be banned from the Games.
A meeting is currently taking place to discuss the ugly scenes; a statement is expected shortly.
