Manx professional cyclists Mark Cavendish and Peter Kennaugh made promising returns to action in the Tour of Romandie prologue in Switzerland.
Cavendish finished the 4.3 kilometre course in 18th place - just 9 seconds slower than the fastest time set by HTC Columbia team-mate Marco Pinotti.
After missing two months due to a broken collarbone, Peter Kennaugh was the third quickest of the Team Sky riders in 89th place of the 159 competitors - 5 minutes 36 seconds down.
The first stage of five is today and takes place over a hilly 175.6 kilometres which includes two category one climbs.
