21 medals secured between 11 athletes in South Africa
Manx Powerlifting has secured another impressive Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships medal haul in 2024, matching their successes in the same event two years ago.
This year's competition in Sun City, South Africa saw the eleven-strong Island team take 21 medals overall including four gold, nine silver and eight bronze.
It is the exact same medal total the squad managed at the previous championships in New Zealand in 2022.
In an update on social media, Manx Powerlifting says a combined total of 4122.5kg was lifted in full power competition alone.
The organisation adds it's 'goals achieved' and 'memories made' whilst thanking the athletes, coaches sponsors for their work.
