As things stand at present (Thursday, 7pm), there would be no racing at the Manx Grand Prix on Saturday, should the stand by day be needed, due to a lack of marshals.
With a mixed weather forecast for tomorrow (Friday), there is a real possibility of one or both races being held over.
However, Manx Radio understands the reserve day would not be used, because the Isle of Man TT Marshals Association is around 70 short of minimum manning levels.
That has prompted an appeal from vice chairman Gordy Moore, particularly for locals:
