Mixed Reaction to T.T. 2008 Race Schedule

While most riders seem to support an additional Supersport Junior Race around the Mountain Course at T.T. 2008, there has been a mixed response at best to the return of two-strokes at the Billown Circuit.

Yesterday, plans to run Lightweight and Ultra Lightweight T.T.'s around the Billown Circuit were announced at the Bike Show in Birmingham.

Ian Lougher is perhaps the one who could benefit the most - he's won several T.T.'s already, loves two-stroke racing and is a multi-winner around Billown:-

John McGuinness has never ridden around the Billown Circuit, so is thinking carefully about whether or not he will enter:-

Ian Hutchinson definately won't be competing at Billown next year, judging by these comments:-

And William Dunlop is quoted in Road Racing Ireland as saying “I’m a 2-stroke man and I love them, but what the organisers are doing with running them at the Southern 100 as TT status is a joke. They are just making the whole event a bore. I hate watching the same bikes going round and round again, I even hate riding them round there, I can’t understand why they can’t be run on the main circuit. They obviously have their reasons but I can’t see any.”
