Waterloo claim the honours at Port-e-Chee
Firwood Waterloo moved into third place in North One West when they beat Douglas 31-14 at Port-e-Chee and secured a bonus point with a total of five tries. Prop Simon Hoddinnot who was man of the match last week, went in for a try for Douglas as did second row John Dutnall. Both Douglas tries were converted by Luke Hyland. Douglas remain bottom but have games in hand and travel to eleventh place Wilmslow next week.
Vagabonds and Ramsey win in Ravenscroft Manx Trophy
Vagas beat Douglas 60-15 under the Friday night lights at Ballafletcher. Nathan Gibson, Jon Reilly and Mark Oldfield all bagged two apiece for Vagas with other scores coming from Ed Alderson, Euan Ellis and Cam Findlay. Findlay also kicked four conversions and a penalty and Ryan De La Harpe kicked two conversions.
Ramsey beat a much-improved Southern Nomads 26-10 at Ballakilley Park. A Mark Young penalty gave Nomads an early lead but tries from Dan Richmond, Ben Harding and Josh Corteen, all converted by Richmond saw Ramsey lead 21-3 at half time. Django Kinley pulled one back for Nomads early in the second half, with Young converting, but a Mikey Craine try with fifteen to go, sealed the win and a bonus point for Ramsey.
