A senior first officer with Eastern Airlines has been confirmed as the Liberal Vannin Party's second general election candidate in Onchan.
Zac Hall, aged 33, joins LVP leader and long-serving Onchan MHK Peter Karran in a two-pronged attack on the constituency's three House of Keys seats.
Mr Hall, a qualified pilot, says he is 'very committed to Liberal Vannin policies', and is currently working his notice period so he can devote more time to his election campaign.
He says he is 'sincerely grateful' to have been given the 'unique chance' to stand on an LVP ticket.
Mr Karran says there aren't enough young people entering the world of politics and Mr Hall will add a younger perspective to the party's outlook and communications.
So far there are six candidates for the three onchan seats, the others being sitting member David Quirk, local commissioners June Kelly and Brian Stowell and trade unionist James Corrin.
