Ramsey B enjoy double plate celebration
The dominant forces in Manx hockey have clinched league and cup doubles.
Bacchas A and Vikings A capped off seasons to remember to win the respective men’s and women’s cup finals.
Two goals from Kim Carney and one from Sarah Blackman sealed a 3-1 victory for Vikings over battling Bacchas A, for whom Roxanne Mitchell scored.
That made it 115 games unbeaten for the women’s Premier Division champions – they last lost a game in 2009!
And Bacchas A crushed Valkyrs A in the Men’s Cup Final with a resounding 9-2 success.
Andy Whiting was the star of the show with a hat-trick.
Two each from Johnny Callow and Jamie Brown and one apiece from Karl Moore and David Whiting sparked the celebrations.
Regular marksmen Gareth Morris and Greg Miller scored late on for Valkyrs but it was Bacchas A’s day.
Ramsey B won a thrilling Bridgewaters Men’s Plate Final.
The northerners put the disappointment of last day relegation behind them to seal the silverware.
They edged out Bacchas A 4-3 in an exciting seven goal contest.
The club made it a day to remember by also capturing the Women’s Plate.
A Kathryn Caine treble and one each from Alex Smith and Beckie Weimar fired them to a 5-0 success over Valkyrs C.
