No mention of any possible TT commitments
British Superbike Championship rider and TT competitor Josh Brookes has joined DAO Racing.
The two-time BSB champion joins the team for 2025 after leaving FHO Racing at the end of the previous season this year.
2025 will see him campaign DAO Racing's Honda machinery in the championship, however no mention is made as to whether his commitments will include the Isle of Man TT Races.
The Australian completes a two-rider lineup for the team at next year's BSB season alongside Lee Jackson who also joined the outfit this month.
Speaking on the move, Brookes says: "There’s been a number of years now where I’ve had very few satisfying race results in BSB and that doesn’t match my prior history of racing.
"My take on that is that motorbikes and teams come in and out of favour through the years and I’ve unfortunately placed myself just in the wrong place at the wrong time, to miss the sweet spot of success.
"I have confidence in my decision for 2025 that the combination of bike, team, preparation and focus will bring back the so desired results we seek."
With FHO Racing - along with his BSB commitments - Brookes made a return to the Snaefell Mountain Course in 2023 after a five-year hiatus and featured again with them in 2024.
During that period he managed two podiums and eleven top-ten finishes in 13 races.
He finished second in this year's Senior TT - beaten only by Davey Todd - with FHO Racing whilst last year he took third in the Supertwin TT Race 2 on a Dafabet Racing Kawasaki.
Meanwhile, For DAO Racing there's been changes behind the scenes as well as their personnel on the track.
In the last few months they announced they were switching to Honda power for 2025, bringing to an end their ten-year association with Kawasaki.
