Nickolas Ellis has already impressed in Ginetta Juniors

An up-and-coming Manx-born racing driver is set to make his debut in the GB4 Championship series next month.

17-year-old Nickolas Ellis will make his maiden appearance in the series with Elite Motorsport at Donington Park next month from 7-8 September.

This is currently set to be a one-off GB4 outing for Ellis whose preparations included testing a GB4 car at the French Val de Vienne circtuit and Snetterton in the UK earlier this month.

Speaking about the opportunity, the Port Erin competitor says he's 'super excited' for the challenge, adding 'it's always been my dream to drive a single-seater, let alone race one.'

Meanwhile, the GB4 Championship is described as 'an entry level championship for aspiring F1 drivers.'

Having started pursuing karting more seriously in 2021 following previous success in the sport of sailing, Ellis has now contested 22 Ginetta Juniors Championship appearances
