Report by Ben Cunningham:
In the Ladies Premier League, Vikings A the current champions didn’t get off to the best of starts when they lost last time out to Castletown, A Harlequins A meet Vikings A this weekend with both sides looking for their first wins of the season.
Bacchas A who beat Harlequins last weekend meet Valkyrs A whose opening game of the season didn’t happen due to an unfit pitch so we wait to see how Valkyrs look this season; Finally, Ramsey A meet Castletown A who will be happy with their winning start.
In the Men's Premier League, defending champions Vikings A will be hoping to keep their winning start when they play Harlequins A who were on the receiving end of a nasty defeat last weekend.
Valkyrs B will know they will have a tough afternoon when they meet Bacchas A who had a commanding win last time out making a strong statement that they are in the fight for the championship, and elsewhere Castletown A meet Valkyrs A in a match that could be very close.
In Ladies Division One, two sides that got off to winning starts meet each other this weekend - Vikings B play Castletown B with both sides looking very well-matched this will be a close game.
Bacchas B - who just lost out to Valkyrs B last weekend - play Castletown C who are still looking for their first win of the season, and Castletown D will be hoping for better luck this weekend when they play Valkyrs B who got a narrow win over Baccahs B on the opening day.
In Men's Division One, Castletown B who had a great start to their season with a commanding win over Bacchas C meet Ramsey A this weekend who will not be easy to push aside with the team they have.
Vikings B will play Harlequins B who lost out to Bacchas B last time out; Finally, their is a inter club derby between Bacchas B and Bacchas C.
In Ladies Division Two, Bacchas C who had a winning start to their season over Harlequins B last weekend play Valkyrs C who kick off their season this weekend after their first match of the season was called off due to a unfit pitch, what do they have on offer this season? We wait and see.
Another team that start their season again for the same reasons as Valkyrs C is Ramsey B, they welcome Castletown E to the north of the island hoping that they don’t let the southerners take with win back with them; Finally. Vikings C who are a strong win last weekend meet Harlequins B who are still looking for their first points of this year’s campaign.
In Men's Division Two, both matches in this division look set to be very close this weekend - Valkyrs C meet Castletown C and Vikings C play Bacchas Colts.
In both these games I think they will be very close however both Valkyrs and Vikings got off to winning starts and will be wanting to keep their winning starts going.
Finally in the Mixed Under-15’s League, Ramsey Rogues and Rascals play Valkyrs; Vikings U15 A meet Harlequins and Vikings B face Castletown Sabres.
