One of the Isle of Man's national ladies hockey sides will contest the semi-finals of one of the England Hockey Championship competitions this weekend.
The Isle of Man Ladies B squad has reached the last-four stage of this year's Women's EH Tier 3 Plate and will take on Loughborough University Ladies 5th XI this Sunday (13 April) at 12.15pm at St Edward's College in Liverpool.
The winner of the tie will face Sunbury & Walton Hawks 1st XI in the final currently scheduled for Monday, 5 May.
Heading into this clash, the Manx squad are on a run of three successful fixtures in this competition including two wins and one walkover.
The Isle of Man Ladies B began the season in the Women's EH Tier 3 KO Championship in October 2024 where they suffered a 2-0 defeat against Liverpool Sefton 2nd XI.
After dropping down into the Tier 3 Plate as a result, the Isle of Man was awarded a 5-0 victory against Sheffield 2nd XI to progress into the last-16.
At home against Northallerton 1s in the next phase the Isle of Man cruised to an 8-1 victory in February before narrowly overcoming Newcastle 2nd XI 3-2 the following month in the quarter-finals.
