He led the southern side to FA Cup glory last season

Rushen United has confirmed Andrew Moody will now continue in his role as first team manager.

The announcement comes after the southern club initially began searching last month for someone to take up the post.

Moody took up the job at the beginning of last season after he and assistant Barry Critchley had led the club's combination side to the Canada Life Combination One title in 2021/22 winning all 22 league matches in the process.

During the 2023/24 campaign he led the Rushen United first team to winning the Ecap FA Cup and a sixth-placed finish in the Canada Life Men's Premier League.

The club says Moody will be 'supported by a team of coaches for the coming season as he looks to build on last season's FA Cup win.'
