Football: Michael United issues appeal for more players

Club says it's 'extremely low' on numbers

Michael United Football Club is urgently looking for more players to join its teams.

On social media the Kirk Michael-based side says it is 'extremely low' on numbers and would like to hear from senior players 'looking to play regular senior football or keen to start.'

It adds it's keen to bolster numbers for both its first team and combination squad.

Anyone interested is invited to contact the club by messaging its social media channels directly and/or attending training sessions.

Training slots will take place at the astroturf pitch at St John's Football Club on Tuesdays between 8.30pm and 10pm and from 6pm until 7pm on Wednesdays.

Michael United's first team are competing once again this season in Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2 and are currently fifth in the standings on 14 points after nine games.

Elsewhere, the combination side reside in 10th spot in Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Combination two after nine games with nine points on the board.
