He's made over 170 pro appearances during career
Manx footballer Liam Doyle has announced his retirement from professional football.
The LA Galaxy defender has confirmed on social media that 2022 was his last season as a pro player.
During his career, he's made over 170 professional appearances after heading to the USA in 2012 to play collegiate football.
In a post on Twitter, Doyle has described football as 'truly the best job in the world' and something he will 'dearly miss'.
He adds he 'owes so much' to his family for their support over the years, and finishes with simply saying 'Thank You Football'.
The End.

2022 was my last season as a professional footballer. When coming to the USA in 2012 to play collegiate football, never could I have imagined that I would go onto make over 170 professional appearances. pic.twitter.com/rip3JhZe6J
