Manager says they're 'aiming for gold in Guernsey'
The Isle of Man FA has announced the women's team which will represent the Island at the 2023 Island Games this summer.
Eighteen players will make the journey to Guernsey for the games which are due to be held from 8-14 July.
The squad will face Isle of Wight and Menorca in the group stages of the competition which were announced in late January.
IoM Women's Team Manager, Wayne Lisy, says this year's team has 'a blend of youth and experience' with half of the players set to make their games debuts.
Mr Lisy adds "there is absolutely no reason given the quality of the players in the squad that we shouldn't be aiming for gold in Guernsey!".
The team will take part in three warm-up matches ahead of the games, starting with a match against Accrington Stanley Women on Saturday, 30 April, at The Wham Stadium.
