Football: Ecap FA Cup first round proper beckons

Women's Floodlit Cup second leg also awaits this weekend (Fixtures: 8-9 Feb)

The first round proper of this year's Ecap FA Cup competition and a cup final headline another busy schedule of Manx football fixtures this weekend.

On Saturday, 16 teams enter the fray in the FA Cup with all but one of the ties due to get underway at the earlier time of 1.30pm.

Among the fixtures is a meeting of two Canada Life Men's Premier League titans as Ayre United host Corinthians and a northern derby as Ramsey Youth Centre & Old Boys (Rycob.) host Ramsey.

Elsewhere tomorrow there are two ties in Ardern & Druggan Ltd Division 2, among which Douglas High School Old Boys (Dhsob.) could move to within three points of league leaders Braddan if they beat Douglas Royal.

All league matches on Saturday - including across the two combination divisions - will get underway at 2.30pm.

Meanwhile, the second leg of this year's 11-a-side Canada Life Women's Floodlit Cup Final is penned in for Sunday (9 February) with Peel set to host Corinthians.

Both sides played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg back on 1 December, 2024.
