Football: Braddan and Colby to meet in big Division 2 clash

Prem leaders Ayre United at Ramsey for a northern derby (Fixtures: 16-17 Nov)

It's second versus third in Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2 this weekend as Braddan visit Colby with both teams aiming to stay in the second-tier title race.

Braddan sit second in the standings on 19 points after nine games and Colby in third on 18 after eight matches with both not wanting to lose ground on leaders Douglas High School Old Boys (Dhsob.).

'Old Boys' have amassed 25 points to sit top and head to Pulrose United on Saturday.

In the Canada Life Men's Premier League, both of the top two sides dropped points last weekend as leaders Ayre United now have a four-point advantage over Peel in second.

Tomorrow, Ayre United take part in a northern derby away at out-of-form Ramsey whilst Peel head to bottom-of-the-table Marown who got their first win and points of the season last time out.

Elsewhere in the top flight just four points separates third down to sixth in the race for Railway Cup qualification.

Foxdale in third are on a rest week which will open up the opportunity for their rivals to catch up - two of them face off as St Mary's in sixth host Corinthians in fourth whilst fifth-placed Laxey are at home to Onchan.
