Vagabonds upset at Eagle
The New Year didn’t get off to a good start for Douglas and Ramsey in the South Lancashire/Cheshire divisions.
Douglas’ trip to Sefton and Ramsey’s home game against Wallasey were both postponed after fog at Liverpool Airport disrupted travel arrangements and saw flights cancelled or postponed to the point where a lack of daylight meant the match simply couldn’t go ahead.
In Division Two, Vagabonds did get away to Eagle for their match, albeit with a delay to their flight.
The game, however, didn’t go well as they lost 21-17 to the bottom side.
Paul Howard bagged two tries for Vagas with Tom Gascoyne grabbing their third.
The result doesn’t alter Vagas’ position in the league standings and they remain 10th.
