Five sidecar champions part of 2024 Southern 100 roster

Founds & Walmsley lead strong field for July's meeting at Billown

No fewer than five previous champions will be part of a strong sidecar lineup at this year's Southern 100 Road Races.

The meeting's promoters - the Southern 100 Club - has confirmed the crews set to take part which will be headed by defending sidecar championship holders Pete Founds and Jevan Walmsley.

Also included in the class are the likes of four-time winners Tim Reeves and Mark Wilkes; 2012 champion Ben Birchall and new passenger Kevin Rousseau; 1997 champion Greg Lambert and Andrew Haynes as well as top duo of 1982, Tony Baker and Dave Ryder.

Seasoned competitors are also seen across the rest of the field with the likes of Wayne Lockey & Matthew Rostron; Lee Crawford & Scott Hardie; Alan Founds & Rhys Gibbons; Steve & Mathew Ramsden along with Shaun & Ben Chandler.

A number of both British and European newcomers are also confirmed to be part of July's meeting.

Among those are two French teams - Eric Lenser & Anais Rosset as well as Steveens Palacoeur & Yann Druel - whilst Eastbourne pairing Ross Buchanan & Adam Evans along with Manx crew Jim and Ben Gale will also take to the Billown Course event for the first time.

The 2024 Southern 100 Road Races are scheduled to take place from 8-11 July.
