Ravens targeting positive start to campaign on home soil
FC Isle of Man will kick off their 2024/25 NWCFL Premier Division season on home soil this weekend.
'The Ravens' welcome Chadderton to The Bowl on Saturday night with kick-off scheduled for 6pm.
The Manx side's manager Paul Jones firmly believes whilst it won't be an easy task, his team has the quality to be challenging towards the top end of the table this season.
What's more he's expecting a tough test tomorrow against an opponent that was in contention for promotion for much of the last campaign:
Both sides met for the first time last season with the Island side emerging victorious on both occasions.
Both teams met at The Bowl on 1 April with FC Isle of Man emerging 3-2 winners before 'The Ravens' managed a narrow 1-0 victory in the reverse fixture at The Falcon Fire Stadium eight days later on 9 April.
However Chadderton - newly-promoted into the NWCFL Premier Division for the last campaign - finished two places higher and eight points better off than FC Isle of Man.
The Oldham-based outfit racked up 80 points in total and finishing seventh in the standings, only missing out on a promotion play-off spot on goal difference.
FC Isle of Man vs Chadderton takes place this Saturday, 27 July, at The Bowl in Douglas kicking-off at 6pm.
