Ravens head to Merseyside after back-to-back defeats

FC Isle of Man will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat when they face their second NWCFL Premier Division game this week at Litherland REMYCA tomorrow afternoon (17 August).

Having recorded back-to-back losses in their last two outings, the Manx side have only managed to secure four points from a possible 12 in the very early stages of the season.

They'll take on a Litherland outfit which is still searching for its first victory of the latest campaign.

FC Isle of Man Manager Paul Jones says his team must be mindful of the hosts and the problems they've caused the Island squad previously and believes whilst performances haven't been perfect lately, they're seeing positives despite some poorer results:

Of the four meetings between the two sides so far, the away side in each game has emerged the victor.

FC Isle of Man have so far taken maximum points with 2-1 wins in both visits to Litherland Sports Park on 3 August 2022 and again 23 August 2023.

On the other side, it's Litherland who've been the dominant force at The Bowl scoring three times on both occasions on their way to victory on both 10 December 2022 and 5 August 2023.

In the early throws of this latest campaign, the Island side's have registered one win, one draw and two defeats which have been in their last two matches.

Litherland's only point on the board so far comes from an opening day 2-2 stalemate away at Padiham on 27 July.

Litherland REMYCA vs FC Isle of Man takes place this Saturday at Litherland Sports Park with kick-off scheduled for 3pm.
