Manxman has signed with team for TT 2025
Island TT competitor Michael Evans believes his move to Dafabet Racing will give him the confidence, and tools, to get to the next level this season.
The Santon man has signed for the Bristol-based crew with whom he is planning to contest the 1000cc and Supertwin classes on the Snaefell Mountain Course this summer.
He'll also swap Suzuki machinery for Honda Fireblade power on the Superbike and campaign a Kawasaki in the 'twin' category.
The 31-year-old says his career goal of winning a TT remains the same but he's willing to stay patient and focus on taking steps forward in the short-term:
The 2017 Junior and Senior MGP winner has amassed 12 top 20 finishes since the Isle of Man TT Races resumed post-covid in 2022.
His best results so far have come in the Supersport and Supertwin classes - a ninth-placed finish in last year's Supersport TT Race 2 is only bettered by crossing the line seventh in the 2023 Supertwin TT Race 2.
In the 1000cc classes he set his fastest TT lap in 2024 in the Superbike TT race averaging 128.232mph before retiring from that race.
Evans and Dafabet Racing did join forces for the 2024 Macau Grand Prix with the rider qualifying in eighth position - however the race was subsequently cancelled due to poor weather.
Separately Evans tasted victory on the Snaefell Mountain Course last year by winning the Ultra-Lightweight MGP race in August.
