Equestrian: Ingham 'incredibly honoured' over GB Olympic selection

Manx competitor's ticket to Paris games confirmed yesterday (26 June)

'Incredibly proud', 'honoured' and 'a dream'... that's how Manx equestrian sensation Yasmin Ingham has described being selected to represent Great Britain at this summer's Olympic Games in Paris.

It was confirmed yesterday the rider from Greeba - now based in Cheshire - will be part of the four-strong eventing squad competing at the games from late July and throughout August.

Taking to social media following the announcement, Ingham says she's grateful the all of the team around her for supporting her on this journey.

Ingham will rider horse Banzai du Loir at the games - the same horse on which she became world eventing champion back in 2022.

The other three members of the eventing team looking to defend their Olympic title from 2021 will be Rosalind Canter, Laura Collett and Tom McEwen.

Elsewhere, there will be four competitors representing Team GB in each of the showjumping and dressage categories.

Following confirmation of the GB Equestrian lineup, Ingham also spoke with British Equestrian on her selection - a link to that is available HERE.
