Sport Aid to educate athletes, coaches, & parents on support methods
Steps are being taken to improve mental health support for the Island's elite athletes.
Starting this summer, IOM Sport Aid will begin educating coaches, parents, and sports-people on how to manage mental health successfully.
Recently, the world has seen the impact the pressure of elite sport can have on athletes through tennis star Naomi Osaka.
IOM Sport Aid Committee Member Sarah Vorster says the initiative began with a survey taken by local athletes.
