
Ramsey resident Cal Crutchlow came a respectable eighth in only his second MotoGP outing today (Sunday).
His result at a wet Jerez circuit in southern Spain built on the 11th place the Monster Tech 3 Yamaha rider picked up on his debut at this level in Qatar a fortnight ago.
The race was won by defending champion Jorge Lorenzo, who brought his Yamaha Factory Racing machine home almost 20 seconds ahead of fellow Spaniard Dani Pedrosa's Repsol Honda.
