Dominic Herbertson forms own team to contest TT 2025

Hexham man secures plans after WTF Racing withdrawal

Dominic Herberston will compete in all solo classes at the 2025 Isle of Man TT Races after forming his own team.

The Hexham rider will contest both the 1000cc and Supersport categories under his own squad named Herbertson Road Racing Company (HRRC).

The update follows a period of uncertainty after the team he was previously due to ride far - WTF (We're The Future) Racing - cancelled its road racing plans for the year earlier this month due to financial concerns.

Separately the 31-year-old is already confirmed to be taking part in the Supertwin class with Melbray Racing.

WTF Racing Team Principal, Alan Gardner has supplied Herbertson with the stock Honda Fireblade machine for the Senior, Superbike and Superstock classes he was previously due to take part in for that squad.

For the Supersport event, the rider has managed to secure a Ducati Panigale V2.

Commenting on the news, Herbertson says: "Obviously it came as a real shock when the [WTF Racing] team announced they were having to pull out this year, and a real shame for the whole team and crew, too. They’d put in a huge amount of effort already, and I was just gutted for all the guys and girls involved.

“Thankfully though, Alan [Gardner] has managed to pull all the strings for me to supply the big bike, and I couldn’t be more grateful. I would have loved to have come to the TT with the full team behind me, but I’m also excited to get back to my roots in running my own little set up, and really can’t wait to get going.

“I also need to pay a huge thanks to everyone that’s got behind me over the last couple of weeks. The support has been incredible and really overwhelming, and I’ll be doing my best to make sure we get the best results possible.”

The 2025 Isle of Man TT Races are due to take place from Monday, 26 May until Saturday, 7 June.
